August's lightning moon, similarly to July's thunder moon is related to the big electrical storms that create dramatic lightning displays and ground the summer heat.
There is undeniably something magic about the full moon and our connection to it. As with star signs we are all born under a particular moon depending on our birth month. These moons are a fun way to celebrate our birthdays and make excellent pressies for anyone in love with the magic of the heavens.
I used trational names for these moons and imagined each one as a kind of dreamcatcher made of geometric patterns.
This is an giclee print made from my original artwork which is a combination of oil paint and acrylic ink on paper.
All my prints are made using archival pigment ink, and are printed on 190gsm specialist, acid free, mould made archival inkjet fine art watercolour paper.
All prints come signed and ready to frame with a white border.
Prints will be posted in a protective cellophane sleeve with backing board and will be shipped flat in a card backed envelope or cardboard tube depending upon their size.
