Elle Sorridente
Freelance illustrator and artist based in
Brighton on the south coast of UK.
I'm never happier than when I'm outside in the sun, sketchbook in hand, camera out and filling up on nature. My work often mixes natural elements with modern feminist concepts, ecological concerns and underlying mythological themes. Florals, feminism and folktales infuse my work and drive the underlying narratives.
I am a freelance illustrator specialising in the colourful and characterful. I predominantly work digitally using procreate and photoshop with an iPad Pro, but my background is in fine art and I also love to paint using gouache or oils. My Bachelor of Fine Arts - BFA focused in Fine Art is from Falmouth University.
My work is available online via various platforms, at craft fairs and markets, and to wholesale stockists. I also really enjoy taking both private and commercial commissions.
All my prints are produced and packaged at home in my studio and are giclée archival gallery quality. At every opportunity I endeavour to make my processes and packaging as environmentally friendly as possible.
If you are interested in commissioning me or becoming a stockist please get in touch, I'd love to hear from you!

I love to dance, sing, play music, and do yoga, I also train capoeira Angola several times a week. My life is a balance of physical activity and deep focus. Travel is hugely inspiring and something I'm keen to do a lot more of. I revel in colours and patterns I find in the world around me, they bring me real joy. I also love food, a lot, and would happily eat my way round the world whilst touring folk museums, art galleries and national parks.
